received a call from mrfong the previous night with him having a fever and being unable to drop by plmgp for trng. but he went "i'm sick, having a fever now. can you hear from my voice?" spot the irony :) but the 10 min conversation ended with his "ok la i think i come tomorrow" haha.

the bus always disappoints us when we need it the most, agreed? and soo we arrived at pri about half an hour late :( GUESS WHAT. while wenxin and i were at the security post signing our names (it's always wenxin signing for us), i was behind this little girl.

guards: oh they're here for handbells again
girl: HANDBELLS? oh, i'm kinda glad ____ but kinda sad too lah
wenxin and i: ?!?
girl turns around to look at us
she saw me and took a second glance. something struck me and i realised how familar her face looked. GRACEGOHPEICI. zomg i was tugging wenxin like every second haha like what, after about 2 years! she prolly recognised me.. she's grown quite tall, with a typical p6 face already :) but her comment did hurt, sigh. i prefer the grace then.

mrfong did turn up anyway, with a strict mood the whole time. my first assignment was to transpose ToGodBeTheGlory from a book to the personalized plmgp score haha. sitting on the piano seat was boring but well, i can't imagine if i were asked to teach techniques for a whole group which was wenxin's job. amandaliew cut her hair and she was being all whiny the whole practice please.

mrfong mentioned a statement which both of us thought was very very true.
"if you cannot even count, you don't join handbells."
the count here in this case means rhythmic beats yes. who says we cannot instil discipline in the harmonious way? everything is possible with him. anyway, he sat next to me while playing the chords i was supp to note down. but before that i actually "thought" that he wanted to teach me how to arrange music, hahahaha i was JUST dreaming ok :) and uh amandaliew the 80GB memorycard had to play after him whilst i joted down. we couldn't figure out the last 2 chords so he played again and we still lost it, tsk. haha. the girls are using the angklung's bestfriend (that instrument that comes in blocks haha) for their song too! lovely.

stayed back awhile while he completed the rest of the song. i have to practise my "keyboard-reading" skills already haha i did it kinda slowly i guess. he wants us to teach amanda how to write the scores but she took them home by accident. ohmyword wenxin and i were craving to write them suddenly hahah i promised to get them next wed and finish writing by fri to give him and GET MY SHERRY-LOLLI and SEE MY CHICKY :)

on monday, i got hold of mrfong's vids. there was only ONE part in which SYF05's rehearsal took place in the holding school's hall. nevertheless i reckon 3 of us were so super thankful already. and then i spent a long while watching syf03's mini syf + practices. his pieces never die, like absolutely. their LGKK appealed to us more, it being original and simple :)

initially, i was exhilarated knowing i can meet the fellow syfers05 tomorrow. so many last minute notices and its down to the few of us again. note that i'm not complaining, because i know you guys will come for the next meeting :D i believe in you trustworthy souls, haha.
